Before using DingTalk, OPPO Malaysia faced multiple challenges:
-
Increased Costs: Managing employee lifecycles across numerous chat groups led to increased management costs.
-
Unclear Attendance: Difficulty in tracking employee attendance affected management.
-
Complex Internal Systems: Multiple internal management systems with separate entry points caused user confusion and increased management costs.
By introducing DingTalk, OPPO Malaysia successfully achieved:
-
Unified Communication: Unified communication with synchronized contacts and groups, improving communication efficiency.
-
Smart Attendance Tracking: Provided smart attendance tracking for on-site and remote employees, simplifying attendance management.
-
Application Integration
Garry, as the sales manager, attends multiple meetings daily, involving collaboration with branches across Malaysia and communication with the headquarters in China. In the past, he spent a lot of time on internal communication and process management, but since the introduction of DingTalk, work efficiency has significantly improved. Garry particularly likes DingTalk's video conferencing feature, which not only provides stable call quality but also has practical participant management functions, allowing him to clearly see the connection status of speakers and attendees. In addition, OPPO Malaysia has closely integrated DingTalk's smart devices with daily operations, allowing Garry to conduct presentations in different meeting rooms without worrying about technical issues.
After introducing DingTalk, OPPO Malaysia also simplified the order management process. The previously used independent order management system could not be integrated with other internal systems, leading to difficulties in information sharing. Now that all internal applications have been integrated into DingTalk, sales staff can easily query order information, reserve goods, and view analysis reports by simply logging into DingTalk, which greatly improves work efficiency.
In terms of announcement publishing, DingTalk has also brought changes to OPPO Malaysia. In the past, announcements were published in written form and posted on bulletin boards, making it difficult to ensure that employees read the announcements. Now, all announcements are published through DingTalk, and Garry can easily track which employees may have missed the announcements and send them personalized reminders.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Malaysia implemented the Movement Control Order (MCO), encouraging employees to work from home. DingTalk's attendance feature allowed employees to clock in and out from home, and the daily report function became an essential tool for tracking departmental progress. All of this enabled Garry to maintain efficient operations during special times.
