DingTalk Showcases AI-Powered Innovation at Western Data Expo, Empowering Development in Western China

From December 5 to 7, 2024, the 5th Western Digital Economy Expo (hereinafter referred to as the "Western Digital Expo") was grandly held at the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center. This expo, organized in a format combining "conference + exhibition + competition," focused on international cooperation in the digital economy and its integration with the real economy. It aimed to build an industrial platform for collaboration and exchange and showcase solutions reflecting Digital China and Xi’an's distinct practices. Li Wei, General Manager of the Government, Education, and Financial Industries at DingTalk, attended the event and delivered a speech titled "DingTalk: New Quality Productivity in the AI Era," sharing DingTalk's innovations and achievements in the digital economy.

DingTalk is the first collaborative office platform in China to implement large AI models in office scenarios. Since its strategic commitment to AI in April 2023, DingTalk has completed intelligent upgrades for 20 product lines and more than 80 scenarios based on AI. It has integrated seven industry widely-used large models, built a more open AI assistant platform foundation, and developed an AI assistant marketplace with tens of thousands of agents. This year, DingTalk officially announced the full open access to its underlying models, with the number of enterprises using DingTalk AI now exceeding 2.2 million.

Based on in-depth exploration and understanding of various industries, DingTalk is committed to applying artificial intelligence technology to core business scenarios, making AI produce tangible benefits. This effort aims to genuinely unleash productivity and accelerate the digital transformation of diverse industries.

Taking the government sector as an example, the daily core work of government staff can be summarized into three terms: handling official documents, organizing meetings, and handling affairs. Conventional official document writing is cumbersome, with an average time consumption of about 3 hours from initial conception to publication. However, DingTalk’s intelligent document writing feature reduces this time to just 30 minutes, significantly improving government staff efficiency.

In addition, Li Wei introduced various AI solutions and customer case studies across different industries, including business data analysis, intelligent approval, smart business travel, and AI-powered quality inspection, which drew widespread attention.

Addressing a critical concern for industry customers—AI's security and compliance—Li Wei provided clarification on-site. DingTalk supports local deployment of enterprise AI solutions and adopts a hybrid cloud architecture to ensure data security, thus powerfully supporting a smooth enterprise transition towards intelligent operations.
